Owls are makers of the strangest noises. Delightful.
I'm in a Scottish seaside town, and at night, the seagulls on just about every rooftop speak Seagull to each other.
Sometimes it sounds like they're mocking us, as if saying "yeah, sure, you tedious ape-creatures built this place, but who OWNS it? Hm? Hm? LOLOLOL."
It's quiet here. The only night owl is me.
