Yesterday evening, I was setting up the camera after a few days of botched tries; technical difficulties had left zero image captures for about 48 hours. Disappointing, but I was comforted by the squawks and knowing that life goes on whether you capture it for the internet or not.
My neighbor Kathlyn, a friend to the deers here, was also outside and pointed out that the owl neighbors have been spending more time in the tree in her yard. I went ahead and pivoted the camera around - and I’m so glad I did!
Thank you, Kathlyn!
It looks like some flight practice, and perhaps a shooting star captured early in the morning? The animation is below the images. Let me know what you think.
I especially love the shooting star!
I love the way a deer photobombs you!
