I see three but no clue who’s grown up and who’s a baby. But I do have a question! What is it that makes this box so interesting to owls? Do others birds like it too? And can other critters get in or is it too inaccessible?

I hear what sounds like "begging" squeaks in a constant chorus, around the box. Sounds like two young waiting for parent(s). Then I hear a lower, more solid call, from a little distance. Immediately the little begging squeaks wake up and call (squeak) with excitement.

I figger it's that the kids don't know yet how to hunt, but only to wait for parents. I'm surprised at how long since they've first fledged, and they're still dependent.

I went outside a couple of nights ago and sat watching. Somebody called as they flew over my head. Those beautiful white wings! Spectacular!
